Defect List

The Defect List feature in Ace CBM provides a streamlined solution for tracking and managing software issues across projects. It ensures efficient monitoring, categorization, and resolution of defects, enhancing software quality and team collaboration.

Features of the Defect List​

  1. Comprehensive Overview

    • Displays key details such as Defect ID, Project, Type, Severity, Status, Assigned User, Open Date, and Description.
    • Highlights severity levels: Critical, Major, Minor, and Cosmetic for priority-based resolution.

  2. Status Categorization

    • Monitor defects by progress:
      • New: Recently reported issues.
      • In-Progress: Currently being resolved.
      • Ready to Close: Pending final checks.
      • Closed: Resolved defects.

  3. Filters and Search

    • Apply filters to refine results by project, severity, assigned user, or status.
    • Quickly search defects using keywords or IDs for better efficiency.

  4. Export and Reporting

    • Export defect data for audits, performance analysis, or project reviews.

  5. Seamless Integration

    • Connects with other modules for a holistic project management approach.

Steps to View the Defect List​

  1. Navigate to the Defect List

    • From the Ace CBM dashboard, go to Tasks/Alerts > Defect List.

  2. View All Defects

    • The system defaults to All Open Defects. Use toggles to filter by New, In Progress, or Ready to Close.

  3. Apply Filters

    • Use the filter panel to refine by severity, assigned user, or delivery date.

  4. Export Defects

    • Export the defect list by clicking the Export button for documentation or reporting.
